So there has been a lot of controversy lately about allowing
same sex marriage in Illinois. Chicago
itself is a pretty liberal city with the majority of the people being fairly
open-minded, but every so often you find someone that doesn’t agree. I am all for free speech and I think everyone’s
thoughts deserve to be heard, regardless of how ridiculous they are. The one thing that confuses me is that the ones
against same sex marriage are usually religious people.
Being raised Catholic, I was told to not to judge people. The
goal in life is to be as much like Jesus as possible. Jesus never
promoted hate or discriminated against anyone.
It’s funny how things change.
